Model 1949 Military Wrist Compass - Manufactured by Superior Magneto Corp., Long Island City, New York
Please Note the small crack (located near the W) on the face of the compass in the second picture!
Designed for post-WWII and Korean War-era military use, this compass features a durable olive-drab metal casing with a protective flip-open cover, secured to a sturdy fabric wrist strap. The dial, originally luminous, has lost its glow due to age-related radiation damage, and the remaining phosphor now barely fluoresces under UV light.
Devices and coin not included.
