Product Description
One paper-wrapped Firestone Polonium-210 Spark Plug (Model M-20) in original box. This is a rare and historic spark plug produced by Firestone in the late 1940s to early 1950s, featuring a trace amount of Polonium-210 incorporated into the electrode to promote smoother combustion and improved ignition. The spark plug remains in its original wrapping and is considered unopened. A small amount of lightweight packing material will be added to the box to keep the spark plug stationary during transit.
Due to Polonium-210’s short half-life of approximately 138 days, all radioactivity has long since decayed, leaving this plug completely inert. The M-20 model represents one of the higher heat-range designs from Firestone’s short-lived Polonium Series, making it a fascinating relic of early Atomic Age automotive innovation.
