Tantalite-(Fe) is an uncommon to moderately rare iron-dominant tantalum oxide mineral, (Fe,Mn)Ta₂O₆, found primarily in granitic pegmatites and mined as an important ore of tantalum.
Euxenite-(y) is a rare, complex oxide mineral rich in yttrium and heavy rare earth elements. It typically occurs in granitic pegmatites and is valued by collectors for its scientific importance, dense structure, and association with rare-earth-bearing minerals. It was first described in 1870 and named from the Greek (εὔξενος), hospitable or friendly to strangers, in allusion to the many rare elements that it contains.
