History: Trinitite, also known as Alamogordo glass or Atomic Age glass, is a glass-like material formed during the first atomic bomb test, Trinity, on July 16, 1945. The intense heat and energy released fused sand into this greenish glass. Primarily composed of fused silica with traces of other minerals.
