This listing is for Five grams of natural lutetium metal intended to be used for gamma spectroscopy calibration.
This lutetium is naturally occurring and therefore has a Lu-176 abundance of 2.59%, making it weakly radioactive. It is not detectible with an economical beta/gamma sensitive detector and five grams should produce a count above 190CPM with a pancake tube as demonstrated with the GQ-GMC 600 Plus.
Excellent calibration source for the Radiacode 101, Atom Fast, and gamma spectroscopy
