This listing is for the pictured fully functional Baby Ben alarm clock with hands painted using paint containing Ra-226 and a phosphor. Although the hands illuminate under UV light, the phosphorous in the paint has been depleted and the hands no longer continuously glow or scintillate.

Not all Baby Ben clocks contain Ra-226 painted hands.

Manufactured between 1956 and 1960, this model originally retailed for $7.95.

The pointed lens shape indicates this clock was manufactured before 1961.

 

Shipped only with USPS Parcel Select Ground (2-8 days), wrapped in plastic, aluminum foil, and bubble wrap in a box big enough to bring the parcel surface activity below the 0.5mR/hr shipping limit.
