Locality:Kővágószőlős Uranium Mine, Kővágótöttös, Pécs District, Baranya County, Hungary

Named in 1966 by Michael J. Gallagher and David Atkin for the type locality, the Ankole District and for “meta-” suggesting a level of hydration of the mineral. Ankole originally was a kingdom in what is now southwestern Uganda

Fluorescence was captured at 365nm.
