Cuprosklodowskite is a rare uranium oxide mineral with the formula (Cu,U)(AsO4)(OH). It was named after Marie Curie and her homeland, Poland. This green-to-blackish-green mineral occurs as tabular crystals or microcrystalline aggregates. It is often found alongside other uranium minerals in hydrothermal veins and oxidized uranium deposits. Cuprosklodowskite is radioactive due to its uranium content. It has a Mohs hardness of 3 to 4 and a specific gravity of 4.6 to 5.4. The mineral exhibits a vitreous to submetallic luster. Cuprosklodowskite is primarily known within mineralogy and geology communities, as it is rare and not widely recognized outside of those fields. Its association with uranium and its limited availability contribute to its desirability among collectors and researchers.
