TG-36 was produced around the late 1960s and at that time contained one microcurie (37kKbq) Cs-137. Since the half-life of Cs-137 is 30 years, the tube still measures over 900 CPM with a pancake tube and can still be used as a Geiger counter-check source as well as a calibration source for gamma spectroscopy.

In the second picture, the TG-36 is being measured with the GMC-300E Plus.

In the third picture, the tube is being measured with a pancake probe on the GMC-600Plus.
