This specimen was stabilized with Paraloid B-72,  a commonly used conservation material in the field of mineral preservation, providing excellent protective qualities for stabilization, rigidity, and long-term conservation. The stabilization process results in a specimen that won’t fall apart or drop flakes every time you look at it.

Autunite contains 48.27% uranium making it one of the most concentrated forms of uranium ore. This specimen will glow bright green in the presence of UV light due to the presence of phosphorus.

Shipped only with USPS Parcel Select Ground (2-8 days), wrapped in plastic, tin-plated steel case, and bubble wrap in a box big enough to bring the parcel surface activity below the 0.5mR/hr shipping limit.
