This is the brightest yellow specimen we have received to date and although we suspected it to be uranocircite, this specimen doesn’t appear to fluoresce any differently than other autunite specimens. XRF analysis would be needed to confirm the presence of bismuth before we call it uranocircite.
Autunite contains 48.27% uranium making it among the strongest forms of uranium ore. This specimen will glow bright green in the presence of UV light due to the presence of phosphorus.
Shipped only with USPS Parcel Select Ground (2-8 days), wrapped in plastic, lead foil and bubble wrap in a box big enough to bring the parcel surface activity below the 0.5mR/hr shipping limit.
